Meet Stefanie Montgomery, LPC

I attended Grove City School District where I graduated in 1996. I attended Grove City College where I majored in Psychology and had a Minor in Sociology and graduated in 2000. I then went on to Slippery Rock University and pursued my Master’s degree in Community Counseling with an emphasis on addiction and graduated in 2003. I have my LPC and have been working in the mental health field for about 20 years. I work with older teenagers through adulthood in areas such as drug/alcohol, anxiety, depression, trauma, and marital therapy. 

I’m hopeful that the field will start looking at all aspects of health rather than just medication, such as eating healthy, exercising, getting good rest, and having time for self and for family as a way to be healthy and improve mental health overall.  

I love to go to the beach and enjoy this when I have time to vacation. I have been married for 10 years, have known my husband for 14 years, and have a 9-year-old son. I have 2 dogs whom I enjoy spending lots of time with. I enjoy bowling, reading, spending time with the dogs, crocheting, cross-stitching and spending time with my husband and son. My favorite meal is steak tips, with penne noodles and asparagus and mixed in a balsamic glaze with lots of cheese.
