Yin Yoga has been shown to have therapeutic benefits for both the mind and body. Private yoga sessions can be tailored to your specific mental health and wellness needs and goals. Joelene offers private classes that are designed with you in mind. During your private 1:1 yoga session, you will work with a compassionate yoga instructor who has training and experience with individualized yoga practice best suited to your mental health and physical needs.
An initial intake assessment will be completed to gather relevant information in order to best assess your needs and goals prior to your first private session. While these sessions will be customized with you in mind, you can expect to be guided through some of the following: Yin yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness meditations.
We will begin each session by checking in so that I know how to best support you. You can also expect to receive suggested practices to continue the work in between sessions. The benefit of a private Yin yoga session is that it’s made specifically for your needs!
If you feel that you’re having a hard time connecting in a group class, or simply want a safer container that’s built just for you, then a private session might be helpful!

We spend so much of our day stressed out and overwhelmed. We feel burnt out and wish we had more balance in our life. We find it difficult to focus, and we’re so scattered with our attention it seems like we’re not even present for our own life! We wish we could find more ease and joy.
Mindfulness is a powerful tool that can help us live with greater calm, ease, and balance. When we practice mindfulness, we cultivate skills that are essential for human living: we learn to pay attention, calm down, and nurture joy. We make time for our own self-care in the middle of our busy days.
We’ll take a look at the stressors in your life, goals you want to achieve, and create a mindfulness program for YOU.
I will guide you through meditations during our sessions (so there are none of the “how do I even DO this” questions!) You’ll learn many different practices for reducing stress on and off the mat!
I am your coach and accountability partner! I’ll keep you motivated and on track, and address all your questions and concerns as you deepen your practice. Together we will create a mindfulness routine you can practice on your own.
Our sessions are a special time of self-care and nurture. You’ll learn powerful ways to access calm and stability whenever you need it. Coaching combined with a Yin yoga practice will have you leaving our sessions relaxed, present, and restored!
