Joelene is a certified & registered Yoga Teacher, specializing in Yin yoga. Joelene is certified as a Mindfulness Coach and uses mindfulness as her core approach in her classes. Joelene is currently in the process of working toward her 500-hour YTT, certification in Trauma-Informed yoga, and Ayurvedic nutrition.
My hope is that wellness becomes a necessity for everyone rather than considered a luxury. I hope to see wellness incorporated daily in everyone’s lives! My hope is to promote health and wellness through yoga by providing a safe place for everybody to participate in yoga classes. I want to provide resources for self-nurturing movement that will improve strength, flexibility, and balance, as well as connect mind, body, and spirit. I wanted to join the Rock Creek Wellness team because of their vision and philosophy and I'm excited to be part of promoting all aspects of wellness with such a passionate team!
When I am not working you can find me hanging out and spending time with my husband and our son. I like to travel and find new adventures but I am also an introvert and love to be home! I always have my camera in hand---I'm a little obsessed with capturing memories. One of my favorite things to do as a family is to go hiking and camping. I love to create, sketch, and design in my spare time. I love to cook and experiment with new recipes, and, you can always find me on my mat practicing yoga!
