It is normal to have a bad day. Read that again—it is normal to have a bad day. Too often we are made to feel broken for being sad, feeling angry, or simply having a bad day. This tricks our minds and bodies into staying busy to avoid feeling negative. In the long run, this does serious damage to both our minds and bodies. If we can take time to observe how we are feeling, why we are feeling that way, breathe deeper and appreciate that there are times in life when it is normal to cry, feel angry, or tap out—then we will simply lead healthier and happier lives. It all starts with creating time for ourselves, even if that time is just five minutes. My hope is that therapy can be a space that cultivates “me time” for all of my clients.
I chose Rock Creek Wellness because I believe in Rock Creek’s mission and am attracted to the good energy that the team and environment provide. My hope is that health and wellness become a part of everyone’s daily lives.
When Clarissa is not working, she is at the gym lifting weights or she is spending time with her family. She loves helping her husband on their farm, baling hay, snowboarding, DIY projects, her English Mastiffs (Rocco and Zeppelin), kayaking, family four-wheeler rides, and lake days.
